Memoranda of Understanding

The IMA will establish a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for working relationships within the public sector.

An MoU sets out the principles of co-operation, consultation and information sharing that have been agreed.

Each MoU will be published on our website to be viewed publicly.

Independent Monitoring Authority (IMA) and Parliamentary and Public Health Service Ombudsmen (PHSO)

The IMA and the Parliamentary and Public Health Service Ombudsman (PHSO) have announced the publication of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) following a successful meeting between Dr Kate Chamberlain and Amanda Amroliwala on the 5 October 2021.

The MoU sets out the framework for the working relationship between the IMA and PHSO, informing our staff and the public about how our organisations work together.

The IMA and PHSO are both independent bodies that recognise each other’s statutory obligations and will collaborate and cooperate where relevant and lawful, supporting wider learning and improvements in relation to the rights arising from Part 2 of the European Union( Withdrawal Agreement) Act 2020 and Part 2 of the EEA EFTA Separation Agreement 2020
