EUSS Curtailment

The Home Office is commencing the curtailing of PSS of citizens who fail to cease to meet the residency requirements due to time spend out of the UK.  

From 9 April 2026, the Home Office started the process of removing  PSS from those that do not meet the residency requirements due to time spent outside of the UK.  Those who have been outside the UK for the longest will be reviewed first, starting with those who have been outside the UK for the last five years. Cases will be identified through the EUSS automation process and by checking against tax, benefit and border data.
