Expiry of EUSS status (where status granted in error) and lack of appeal rights
The IMA is concerned that the Home Office is allowing status to expire, in circumstances where it considers that status was granted in error, and that there is no automatic right of appeal or safeguards applied to expiry decisions in these circumstances.
We have written to the Home Office to seek clarification on how “in error” cases are identified, processed, and communicated to affected individuals. We are considering their response to inform our next steps.
