Obtaining proof of National Insurance Contributions

The IMA has received complaints and information that suggest that individuals in scope of social security coordination rules may be experiencing delay when requesting   proof of National Insurance Contributions from HMRC. A delay in accessing information may adversely affect an individual’s ability to access benefits in a member state.  

The IMA is engaging with HMRC to gather further information to inform our next steps.
