Milly – Inquiry Executive Officer
I joined the IMA in April 2024 and was delighted by the warm welcome and slick induction. My positive impression began at the interview stage and has continued throughout my time at the IMA. What really drew my eye to the role was the chance to make a positive difference and work on engaging and challenging tasks. My day to day is varied, collaborative and stimulating. The work life balance, professional development, overall atmosphere, and staff benefits are fantastic. I am very proud to say I work for the IMA.
Danielle – Corporate Support Officer, Procurement
I joined the IMA in February 2023 from the private sector. Since joining I have been supported to develop my career and have progressed up the grade. The Corporate Services team are a close team and very welcoming, with regular catch ups. Working in Procurement at the IMA there is so much to learn, from finance forecasts to purchase orders and contract management. Working closely with MoJ Finance Business Partner and MoJ Commercial teams, you will learn about different processes and procedures and how to apply them to your work. The wider team at the IMA are approachable in all job grades through to SCS. The social culture in the IMA is really good, even between different departments. I would recommend anyone to join the IMA if you want a flexible, beneficial work environment.
Charlotte – Senior Finance Manager
The IMA is an incredibly supportive organisation, both in helping you to succeed in your role, and supporting a good, healthy work-life balance.
Lee – Senior Legal Adviser
I joined the IMA in 2023, having spent the previous part of my career in government. The legal work is intellectually stimulating, challenging and rewarding. The working environment in the Legal Team is always collegiate, friendly and supportive. Given the newness of the Agreements and our ever-developing understanding of their impact, there is regular opportunity for open discussion of burning issues, where views are shared freely and the involvement of lawyers at all grades is encouraged and valued. If you enjoy the full-fat, interpretive dimension of the law at its most fundamental and would like to belong to a team whose work has a direct impact on the lives of citizens, this is the job for you.
James – Senior Compliance and Inquiry Manager
I joined the IMA back in November 2020 at the start of its development. The job description instantly enticed me as a role where I could make a difference and help citizens during this confusing and changing time. The role has given me the freedom to utilise my strengths, whilst providing me professional grade training to help with my less developed areas. On top of all of this, the work life balance is the best I have had in my whole career – the same goes for the unmatched staff benefits.
Heidi – Intelligence Manager
I started with the IMA in October 2020, when the organisation was new. I have been privileged to experience opportunities early on in helping shape the IMA, including writing some of my own work area policies! I love working here because the people are all welcoming and friendly and it is a fair and inclusive place to work. There are lots of opportunities if you want them to help you grow, learn and flourish in your role and the flexibility is a big plus.
Nicky – Senior IT Manager
I joined the IMA back in 2020 after coming from a coming from a private sector organisation and I had extensive experience in starting organisations, systems and processes from scratch. This was my first role in the public sector and the thought of being able to contribute my years experience in to the greater good as a public duty really appealed to me when I first saw the advert for the IMA. During my time here I feel I have grown in confidence as a person and professional in my field, I have been given growth opportunities to learn new business areas, professional skills and encouraged to network with peers across public sector and Government. The work-life balance has been incredible and the IMAs approach to well-being and approaches to ways of working has been a extra benefit of working at the IMA. It has been a real privilege to have the opportunities I have had and the connections I have made with some fantastic colleagues across the business.
Andrew – Data Protection Officer
I joined the IMA in 2023 and from the first day I was made to feel a welcome and supported member of the team. My role as Data Protection Officer ensures that the data of citizens and staff is processed securely and compliantly. The benefit of working for a smaller organisation is that you get invaluable experience of work outside of your job description and development is encouraged. Everyone is really approachable and there is a great social calendar too. What are you waiting for? Apply to join us now.
