What does the legislation do?
These Regulations amend the Funeral Expense Assistance (Scotland) Regulations 2019 to make changes relevant to the Funeral Support Payment in Scotland, which aims to support bereaved people and reduce the burden of debt a person may face when paying for a funeral. The relevant Policy Note is available here.
This Report relates exclusively to provisions affecting rights under the Agreements.
The Regulations make provision so that persons within scope of the Agreements who would have been entitled to support for funerals abroad prior to the UK’s withdrawal from the EU will continue to be so entitled.
